We don't claim to have a studio "sound" as such, as we believe that our job is to capture your sound in the way that best represents you. We don't really give a shit if this means putting the snare drum through a fuzzbox, just as long as you come away with something that you can be proud of.

Although being in Camden has meant that the bulk of our work has tended to be guitar bands, we also have producers with a wealth of experience working with major label pop, r 'n' b and dance acts.
Zed One Drum Room
In addition to the more usual recording and mixing sessions we also offer tailored production deals for developing artists.

We can work alongside you using the latest technology and our expertise to bring the best out of your tracks or projects. (As long as it's not Inuit Throat Music or sumink. We'd have to admit we're a bit crap at stuff like that).

The main recording area has ample room for a full band to do its stuff. We do believe in trying to emulate, as far as possible, the environment that you are used to playing in.

control room

The adjoining drum room has been built to provide a punchy acoustic, designed to bring out the best from as wide a range of kits and players as possible. The extensive use of wood in its constuction and finish provides a warm, natural sound whilst the tuned bass trapping controls any unwanted booms or rumbles.

Zed One Mics
Tracking is done via a healthy range of industry standard microphones and outboard through our Soundcraft DC2000 analogue console to Pro Tools or Logic Pro .

Zed One Vocal Room
If you need to, you can take your pick from any of our backline equipment to use during your session. It's all included in the price. The only items we charge extra for are our Premier XPK 5-piece recording kit and one or two more specialist amps that we keep tucked away. See our Rates page for details of this stuff.

You might also want to have a nose around the following links for some more bits and pieces. You know.... a few examples of the type of stuff we've done, what gear we use and all that old tosh.
